Kununurra Dog health program training course

Event Details

  • This two-day training course allows people to become aware of common diseases and conditions in dogs which are capable of affecting the health of people. The course is particularly useful for Environmental Health Workers, Environmental Health Officers and Local Government Rangers working with remote Aboriginal communities. Successful trainees become authorised to treat dogs in remote communities topically for parasites, and by injection for chemical sterilisation of bitches and euthanising. Training is delivered by Professor Ian Robertson, from the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences at Murdoch University. Numbers are limited so apply asap, however if full another course will be offered in 2016. For further information contact David Jarman on (08) 9388 4951 or email: david.jarman@health.wa.gov.au
