International Day of People with Disability Celebrations

Event Details

  • Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Equity and Indigenous), Professor Colleen Hayward AM from Edith Cowan University invite you to join them in welcoming student Lyn Lepore to present a keynote address.
Despite having conquered the world as a Paralympian, Lyn Lepore thought her vision impairment meant university was out of reach for her. But now, 15 years after claiming Gold in the women’s tandem cycling event at the Sydney Paralympics, she is well on her way to finishing a degree in Exercise Science. In 2013 Lyn won the Practicum Award, which is given to the student who obtains the highest marks on their practical placement unit.
Please join us to hear Lyn’s inspirational story.

Following speeches and questions, a light lunch will be available. Please RSVP
