AIDA Conference 2017 (NSW)

Event Details

  • The Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association (AIDA) Conference in 2017 will celebrate 20 years since the inception of AIDA. This year's theme is: Family. Unity. Success.

    The conference will highlight AIDA's 20 years, and some key achievements. There will also be a strong focus on the future for AIDA. Participants will be able to reflect upon the theme of the conference, and find ways to continue to grow the capacity and number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander:

    - medical students
    - doctors
    - medical academics
    - and specialists.

    Each participant will also be encouraged to reflect on ways of achieving better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

    The conference will be an opportunity to bring together:

    - AIDA members
    - guests
    - speakers
    - partners from across the sector.

    The conference will also provide a platform to share:

    - individual stories
    - experiences
    - and achievements.

    The conference promotes a culturally safe environment, both in the proceedings and in the professional world.

    Early bird registrations close: 7 May 2017
    Online registrations close: 31 August 2017.
