The Royal Australian College of
General Practitioners (RACGP) and the University of Melbourne have invited
NATSIHWA to participate in two separate consultation workshops. Participants
are invited to provide input into how a phone support service such as
1800RESPECT (the National counselling helpline and website for sexual assault
and domestic or family violence) can assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander Health Workers and General Practitioners.
The first workshop will focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
Workers and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners and
will be held in Sydney on Wednesday 12 August 2015.
The second workshop will focus on both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
Health Workers and General Practitioners and will be held in Sydney
on Wednesday 30 September 2015.
Two Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and/or Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner are invited to attend, one each from
an urban setting and one from a rural setting along with a NATSIHWA

Just letting everyone know that next week I'm doing placement at St Vincent Hospital In Melbourne its only observeral but the experience will benefical for the Training I'm doing at the Moment Cert 4 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health practical at VACCHO.
