Dear Diabetes Yarning Place members,
Here is an update from the Diabetes Yarning place on the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet, with an invitation about the upcoming Eye health workshops which are supported by The Fred Hollows Foundation.
The AIH is conducting a series of free workshops and we would like to invite interested people to attend. We would also be grateful if you could forward the invitation through your networks.
These interactive workshops will have a specific focus on diabetic retinopathy, and will demonstrate how accessing and using the online information, resources and networking tools provided through the Eye Health web resource can support health professionals, save them time and help optimise their everyday work practices. We will also be seeking feedback from participants about how we can continue to develop the web resource to meet the information needs of the health workforce.
The workshops are aimed at health professionals working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in eye health, diabetes and related sectors. They will be held in
Darwin, 14 November 2016
Melbourne, 18 November 2016
Perth, 1 December 2016
Further details are provided here.
Thanks and kind regards
Sam Burrow
