WoundsWest is a WA Health initiative in collaboration with Silver Chain and Curtin University. We provide online wound education programs for clinicians.
WoundsWest has developed an Aboriginal Health Worker online wound education program that is freely available worldwide and designed specifically to meet the scope of practice for AHWs. You can access the program via this link http://www.health.wa.gov.au/woundswest and go to the education page.
It just takes a few steps to get started. For more information - http://www.healthinfonet.ecu.edu.au/uploads/yarning_docs/WW_Online_Education_Flyer2011.pdf
Once you have gone to the education page, click on the 'Go to the Wounds West Module Homepage' and register to do the program by entering your details.
Once you have read the terms of agreement and agreed, you will see the 'Aboriginal Health Worker module' on the right hand side of the page. Click on this, and you can begin the module.
A certificate is provided for successful quiz completion that can be used towards your ongoing professional development.
